Scholarships

We are committed to making the teachings of Yoga available to everyone.  River & Stone has many options for, and is very active in, social justice work for many under-supported populations. The teachings of Yoga also make it clear that one's practice should ultimately be in service of others and the Greater Good.  

In that interest we offer two different scholarships:
1. For persons in need for financial support
2. BIPoC  

Both scholarships are dependent on our enrollment and spots are limited and dependent on the total number of program participants.  

The scholarships offer 50% off the tuition price.   

Scholarships for BIPOC:

We are happy to provide more options and resources for our BIPoC community members to become Yoga Teachers!  Please complete the application here and email to training@riverandstoneyoga.com if you are interested in this opportunity.  (Availability depends on enrollment.)

Scholarships for persons in need of financial support:
To receive this discount, we request a one-page letter describing your situation. Please email training@riverandstoneyoga.com

Request the financial support scholarship if you: 

• frequently stress about basic needs like food, housing, and transportation and don't always meet them 

• have debt that sometimes prevents meeting basic needs 

• have unstable housing 

• unemployed or underemployed 

• have no access to savings 

• cannot afford eating out, coffee to go, movies, books, and new technology 

• cannot afford a vacation or have the ability to take time off 

• value studying yoga but it feels out of financial reach 

• support family members or other dependents 

• do not benefit from institutional support and social privilege
