With over 20 years of experience, Kelly Mahoney’s early passion for physical and mental wellness has evolved and led her to partner in opening River & Stone Yoga.
Kelly has a BS in Exercise Science from Keene State and focused her early career in corporate fitness. While coordinating programming as a wellness director, Kelly developed a specific interest and passion for physical therapy. She furthered her education and transitioned her career, earning her licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant and has worked in this realm for 5 years. Kelly has a strong understanding of movement as a way to prevent and heal from injury. Kelly holds numerous certifications in group fitness modalities, in addition to the NASM personal training certification. Kelly completed her yoga teacher training in 2002 and has taught in a variety of settings in the last 20 years. Her unique blend of experience in fitness, physical therapy, and yoga teaching illustrates her wellness philosophy– integration of physical and mental health, with the fusion of mindfulness programs to achieve balance.
Kelly lives in Holden with her husband, Butch, and two daughters. Outside of her own fitness training, she enjoys friendly competition–running local road races with friends, cheering for her daughters’ sports teams, and golfing altogether as a family. Kelly always appreciates a book recommendation and loves inspirational reading.
