Meng's yoga journey began in her living room, watching old school VHS tapes and DVDs of yoga teachers such as Patricia Walden and Rodney Yee. Her longtime high school friend introduced her to yoga at Metrowest Yoga in 2010 where she attended her first restorative yoga class and fell in love with the practice. She completed two yoga assistant trainings led by Shawn Shaw and Ray Mucci and worked as a yoga assistant for years before deciding to embark on a 200-HR training with Theresa Murphy in 2013. Shortly after, she completed the Relax and Renew Restorative Training with Judith Lasater, and later, a Yin yoga training with Theresa. In 2021, she took the 300-HR training and earned her RYT-500 with Theresa Murphy and Cindy Boulter.
Her experience practicing yoga began with feeling the benefits of the physical movement and breath and more and more it led her to appreciate how it has helped support her ability to withstand and respond more wisely to the challenges and stress of life. Yoga taught her how to move through experiences without being overly attached to them. She enjoys blending in various forms of disciplines and movements into her classes and keeping the practice lighthearted while challenging. She teaches hatha, vinyasa, restorative and yin and has offered classes and workshops at private homes, studios, colleges, dance studios, elementary schools and corporate offices and outside in parks.
